Error description
The IBM supplied props.conf used for Splunk ingestion may truncate MESSAGEID values when they contain special characters. This occurs because the default regular expression relies on \w, which matches only alphanumeric characters and underscores. The APAR updates the regex to correctly capture full MESSAGEID fields, including those with special characters, preventing loss of diagnostic information during parsing.
