Notes:

This release contains all fixes in previous releases up to the CSM 6.3.17 release.
Notable Issues fixed in the 6.3.18.1 release are the following:
| Abstract | Description |
| Defect 90442 | Affected Domain: Customers viewing the CSM GUI in another language other than English, may see invalid characters. Description: After installing or upgrading to 6.3.18.0, customers using non-English locales on the GUI or on the server, particularly non alpha numeric languages, see invalid characters. Customers should upgrade to 6.3.18.1 which will now render the characters correctly. Mitigation: From the Settings->Advanced Tools change the GUI language to English in order to display valid characters, until the 6.3.18.1 fixpack can be applied. |
| Issue 90419 | Affected Domain: Customers using the Auto-Generated Task policy to create Safeguarded Snapshots on FlashSystems on the storage system connection panel, may see duplicate tasks after a Partition is migrated Description: CSM 6.3.18.0 added support for Partition Migrations on FlashSystems, so that Scheduled Tasks will automatically get updated to point to the new post-migration session names. However, if those tasks were actually auto-generated via the policy on the storage system connection panel, customers could end up with two Safeguarded Snapshot creation tasks with the same schedule to the same session. Upgrade to 6.3.18.1 if you setup the policy for auto generating Scheduled Tasks for FlashSystems Snapshots. Mitigation: If you perform a Partition Migration prior to upgrading to 6.3.18.1 you will need to manually delete the duplicate scheduled tasks. |
| Issue 90461 | Affected Domain: An issue was found if the CSM server is restarted while there are pending Dual Control events, resulting in the server not starting up correctly. Description: When Dual Control is enabled, if there are pending Dual Control events which have not been approved or rejected, and the CSM server is restarted, an exception occurs during startup which prevents the CSM server from full starting up. Upgrade to CSM 6.3.18.1 to avoid this condition. Mitigation: If restart the CSM server with pending tasks prior to upgrading to CSM 6.3.18.1, you may have to restart the CSM server multiple times to clear the condition...once for each task that was pending. Once there are no more pending tasks in the CSM internal datastore, the server will start up cleanly. |

Upgrades
This refresh pack is a full version of IBM Copy Services Manager. The refresh pack media does not include the enablement files. If installing without the enablement files, the install will be done with an Evaluation license agreement and the enablement files will need to be applied later for full functionality of the product.

CLI ONLY Installations
The following images are available to install a Remote version of the IBM Copy Services Manager CLI. Download the package pertaining the platform you wish to install the CLI on, NOT the platform that the IBM Copy Services Manager is running on.
NOTE: The installer now allows you to install only the CLI for Distributed platforms. The archive images for the CLI will no longer be available for Distributed servers. Launch the CSM installer and choose the CLI only option to install the CLI.
