Troubleshooting
Problem
A Liberty server configured with the Java Batch feature might be used to generate DDL statements using the scripts, ddlGen.sh or ddlGen.bat. You might notice that the script reports successful completion, but the generated file is empty (0 bytes).
Symptom
You attempt to run the script, ddlGen.sh or ddlGen.bat, for a server configured with the Java Batch feature. The script indicates successful completion, but the output file produced is empty.
Diagnosing The Problem
Observe that when you run the ddlGen script, an empty output file is produced when the target server is configured with the Java Batch feature.
Resolving The Problem
To prevent the error, modify the server configuration to add the attribute, createTables="false", to the databaseStore element that is used for the Java Batch feature. The databaseStore element is referenced from the batchPersistence configuration element or a default databaseStore, if you do not explicitly define it.
