Error description

  • PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:

    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF. *
    ****************************************************************
In some rare instances, the presence of a level 88 condition
name exposes memory overlay bug in the compiler that manifests,
at COBOL program compilation time, as a Language Environment
    heap corruption crash.

Problem conclusion

  • The memory overlay problem was corrected in the compiler,
thereby fixing the cause of the problem.
