Error description

  • Admin Tool may not allocate enough memory to handle the DISPLAY
command, leading to a DB2 IFI error, return code= 8, reason
code=00E60820. This can cause truncation of the output. Admin
Tool should be able to properly allocate enough memory to handle
the output of the DISPLAY command. If the allocation exceeds the
maximum amount that the DISPLAY command can handle, issue a
warning message about the truncation.

Db2 Admin Tool might not allocate enough memory to handle the
DISPLAY command, leading to a Db2 IFI error, return code= 8,
reason code=00E60820, or return code= 4, reason code=00E60800.
This behavior can cause the output to be truncated.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The problem has been fixed. Db2 Admin Tool will allocate more
memory if it is needed. However, if the maximum output limit for
the DISPLAY command is reached, new error message ADBC255E is
returned.
