Why am I receiving a message that IBM Trusteer Endpoint Protections's download file is corrupt or invalid?


Following Microsoft's recently released update, you may encounter an alert message when attempting to install IBM Trusteer Endpoint Protection on a Windows operating system.
The alert reports that the installation file is invalid or corrupt:

invalid signature


Please be assured that an installation file downloaded via your online banking website, or the IBM Security Trusteer Support website is genuine.
IBM Security Trusteer are working closely with Microsoft to resolve this issue.


Follow these steps to continue the installation:

  1. Click on View Downloads in your browser (or press Ctrl + J), right-click RapportSetup.exe and select Run anyway.
  2. For users with Microsoft Smartscreen enabled, either:
    1. Click More Info or the I understand the risk and want to run this app checkbox, and then Run anyway:
