Problem

Recent malware is capable of stealing your login credentials to online banking, brokerage, shopping, e-commerce, email, and social networking websites. Even if the site is considered "secure", fraudsters can use your online account to execute unauthorized transactions, place orders, send emails, and much more.

IBM Security Trusteer Rapport works standalone or alongside any desktop security solution. It hides your login credentials and web communication from any type of malware and prevents unauthorized access to your accounts. You should use Rapport even if your computer runs the most updated antivirus solution.

How does it Work?

Rapport requires an extension to be installed in your browser (Google Chrome, Firefox or Edge) .

When you browse to a website , the IBM Security Trusteer Rapport icon appears in or by the browser’s address bar.
The icon is green when Rapport is protecting your communication with the website:

The icon is grey when the communication with the website is not protected:

Grey Icon

Trusteer recommends that you activate Rapport protection on any website where you send your online identity or other sensitive information
Trusteer Rapport is preconfigured to protect certain websites which work directly with Trusteer to give their customers the best protection possible.
To activate Rapport protection, browse to the website, click the grey Rapport icon, then click the “Protect site” button.

Unprotected

On protected websites you can click the green Rapport icon for an indication you are protected by Rapport. You can access Rapport console by clicking on "Settings".

If you were able to see the icon before, but after installing a Rapport update cannot, please close your browser using CTRL+Alt+Delete then select End Task in Task Manager.
