Creating a print data set containing the JES2 joblog for the IBM MQ for z/OS® jobs.

Troubleshooting

Problem

How to use XDC in SDSF to create a print data set that contains the JES2 job log for the CHIN or MSTR address space.

Resolving The Problem

1. In SDSF, choose the ST (status of jobs), DA (active users), or H (held output queue) screen to see a list of jobs.

2. Place the cursor in the NP column next to the job log you want to print. The jobs are named xxxxMSTR or xxxxCHIN, where xxxx is the subsystem name.

3. Enter 'xdc' next to the job log you want to print (x=output, d=data set, c=close after print). The following screen appears.
Enter a data set name enclosed with single quotation marks.
Enter a RECFM of FB.
Enter an LRECL of 133.
Enter a BLKSIZE that is a multiple of the LRECL (for example 1330).

4. Hit Enter.

5. To terse and FTP the data sets to IBM, see: Exchanging information with IBM Technical Support.
