Error description

  • You have RACF definitions that contain upper and lower
    case definitions. When extracting the definition from
    RACF to create the esm YAML file, it correctly contains
    the lower case definitions.

    When this YAML file is used in the REXX exec DFH$XSR everything
    is converted to upper case. None of the resource definitions
    are in lower case.

    Additional symptoms: KIXREVDAM
    security  rdefine permit SETROPTS

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: RACF definitions from security metadata *
    *                      are all uppercased during DFH$XSR       *
    *                      output.                                 *
    ****************************************************************
    DFH$SM2R is run to convert security metadata to RACF command
    outputs using DFH$XSR. If the security metadata input contains
    any RACF definitions which contain lowercase characters, these
    are incorrectly folded to uppercase in the output.

Problem conclusion

  • UO07106, UO07105, UO07104

    CICS has been updated to ensure DFH$XSR preserves mixed-case and
    lowercase RACF definitions correctly.
