Symptoms
Installation of Ubuntu 26.04 on a new disk fails when another disk in the system already contains an Ubuntu 26.04 installation. The failure occurs during the partitioning stage (curtin block‑meta), and the installer terminates with a CurtinInstallError.

Workaround
Install Ubuntu without using the Logical Volume Manager (LVM) and wiping the disk that already contains Ubuntu 26.04 before retrying the installation can prevent this issue.
