Summary
The Library Size Summary (LIBSIZSUM) tool shows the number of objects in the specified library and the total size of the library and all of it's objects.
It has an option to display all of the objects in the library sorted by size, and lists the top 10 users of storage by:
- Individual object
- Generic objects (grouped by first 5 characters of the object name)
- Object type
- Owning user profile
Steps
The Summarize Library tool can be initiated from the Must Gather Data Collector menu:
Specify the name of the library you want storage information for.

Here is an example screen showing size summary information for library QMPGDATA. The top part of the screen shows the number of objects in the library and the total size of the library and all of it's objects. Below that is a list of the top ten objects listed by size.

Pressing F11 will rotate forward through the Top Ten reports, while F10 will move backward through the Top Ten reports. Pressing F11 while viewing the top 10 individual objects will switch to the top 10 generic objects, which groups the objects using the most space by the first five characters of the object name.

The next Top 10 list shows objects by type -

The last Top 10 list shows the user profiles that own the most storage in the library -

Pressing F11 again will go back to the Top 10 individual objects list (the first list), whereas pressing F10 will go backward to the list of object types.
F6 will show the complete list of individual objects sorted by size -
