Downloading IBM MQ 10.0 CD

Order features as a new product installation

Each Product ID (PID) has Long Term Support and Continuous Delivery orderable features; select the appropriate feature for your chosen upgrade path:

• 5656‑MQA: IBM MQ for z/OS
• 5656‑VUA: IBM MQ for z/OS Value Unit Edition
• 5656-ADA: IBM MQ Advanced for z/OS
• 5656-AVA: IBM MQ Advanced for z/OS Value Unit Edition

Apply PTFs to a previously installed release

To upgrade from a previous IBM MQ 10.0.x Continuous Delivery release level, download and install the PTFs for one or both of the APARs listed in the following table. 

Note: you cannot upgrade from IBM MQ 9.4.5 by applying PTFs; you must install IBM MQ 10.0.0 as a new product installation.

1. Sign in to Shopz.
2. Choose the option "Apply PTFs to a previously installed release".
3. Leave as the default option 'Include requisite service from past 90 days' to ensure all required PTFs are ordered for associated APARs. The APARs for IBM MQ for z/OS include IBM MQ Managed File Transfer.

Maintenance releases

There are no z/OS downloads for IBM MQ CSUs. The CSUs are included in the next IBM MQ 10.0 for z/OS CD release. You can also contact IBM support to request a ++USERMOD at the level of the latest CD release.

1. Show the latest releases on Fix Central
2. Find the "Continuous Delivery release" entry.
3. If you want to see earlier releases, click "Show superseded fixes". (Note that the initial release is 10.0.0.1, not 10.0.0.0.)
4. Select your image then click Continue.

Note: Apply maintenance releases to an existing CD base installation.
