Abstract

Download the latest IBM® MQ 10.0.0 LTS release from Passport Advantage, Fix Central, or (for z/OS systems) the ShopZ website. You can download the base install image, and/or apply the latest fix pack or CSU.

Important Information

Windows and Linux downloads

Quick Start for Windows and Linux Users

You can skip the base install and go directly to maintenance releases, which include the base install image.

Download from Fix Central:

  1. Show the latest maintenance releases on Fix Central
  2. Find the "Long Term Support release" entry for your operating system.
  3. If you want to see earlier releases, click "Show superseded fixes".
  4. Select your image then click Continue.

Base images from Passport Advantage

If you prefer to start with a base image, these are available as parts from Passport Advantage (requires entitled IBM ID).

The eAssembly includes all the latest parts (quick start guide and base images for each operating system): G0HP7ML.

Alternatively, you can download individual parts. The quick start guide part is M11FWML. Base image parts are listed in the following table.

Occasionally, new parts are issued for some operating systems to update base images to maintenance release levels. If a part is not available for your required release and operating system (no row exists for that release or a cell contains a dash ('-')), install the most recent part then download and apply the maintenance release from Fix Central.

AIX and IBM i downloads

Note: For AIX and IBM i, you must install a base image first, then apply maintenance releases.

Step 1: Download base images from Passport Advantage

Base images are available as parts from Passport Advantage (requires entitled IBM ID):

The eAssembly includes all the latest parts (quick start guide and base images for each operating system): G0HP7ML.

Alternatively, you can download individual parts. The quick start guide part is M11FWML. Base image parts are listed in the following table.

Important for AIX: Use GNU tar (gtar) to unpack tar images.

Each Product ID (PID) has Long Term Support and Continuous Delivery orderable features; select the appropriate feature for your chosen upgrade path:
