DESCRIPTION:   IBM WebSphere Application Server 8.5, 9.0 and IBM WebSphere Application Server Liberty 17.0.0.3 through 25.0.0.12 are affected by cross-site scripting due to improper validation of user-supplied input. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by using a specially crafted URL to redirect the user to a malicious site.

Security Bulletin: IBM WebSphere Application Server and WebSphere Application Server Liberty are affected by cross-site scripting (CVE-2025-12635)

IBM strongly recommends addressing the vulnerability now by applying a currently available interim fix or fix pack that contains the APAR PH68817.

For IBM WebSphere Application Server Liberty 17.0.0.3 - 25.0.0.12: 
· Upgrade to minimal fix pack levels as required by interim fix and then apply Interim Fix PH68817
