Install Rule Designer in an air-gapped environment

Steps

1. Mirror the needed documented update sites:

   1. ./eclipse.exe -application org.eclipse.equinox.p2.artifact.repository.mirrorApplication -source https://download.eclipse.org/releases/2024-12/ -destination file:./release-2024-12

   2. ./eclipse.exe -application org.eclipse.equinox.p2.artifact.repository.mirrorApplication -source https://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/updates/4.34/ -destination file:./updates-4.34

   3. ./eclipse.exe -application org.eclipse.equinox.p2.metadata.repository.mirrorApplication -source https://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/updates/4.34/ -destination file:./updates-4.34

   4. ./eclipse.exe -application org.eclipse.equinox.p2.metadata.repository.mirrorApplication -source https://download.eclipse.org/releases/2024-12/ -destination file:./release-2024-12
      
      
       

2. In Eclipse, go to Windows > Preferences > Install/Update > Available Software Sites.

   1. Delete all Available Software Sites.

   2. Click Add Site > local name for 'release'. location > select folder > path/to/release-2024-12

   3. Click Add Site > local name for 'updates'. location: select folder path/to/updates-4.34

      Note: Folders can also be zipped and used as archive folders.
