OA69258: TASK HISTORY FILTERING PROBLEM FOR CPU WHEN GREATER THAN 0.1 SECONDS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Task history will incorrectly filter out tasks when the
  threshold for CPU is greater than 0.1 seconds.

  *                      3270UI can be excessive.                *

  *                      may contain no data for a CICS region   *
  *                      where GLUEs are defined.                *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply this PTF.                              *

  With IBM Z OMEGAMON AI 6.1 the format of the CPU value stored
  internally was changed. This resulted in the check for CPU
  values of greater than 0.1 seconds being misaligned.
  When more than 100 Task history rows are requested, multiple
  requests are made to task history. the timeout mechanism
  presumes the second query had timed out and results in it never
  being posted complete.
  The navigation options for the context displays are not similar
  to those of the CICSplex views.
  The processing of Application Trace data in the Enhanced 3270UI
  can take a long time.
  If the GLUEs defined for a CICS region are associated with a
  program which is not defined to CICS, no data is returned.
  

Problem conclusion

• The comparison of the CPU time is now corrected.
  OMEGAMON is changed to correctly process subsequent task history
  requests.
  The navigation options for the CONTEXT displays have been
  updated to more closely match those of the CICSplex displays,
  this more consistent navigation is easier to use.
  The processing of Application Trace data in the Enhanced 3270UI
  has been redesigned to be significantly more efficient.
  OMEGAMON will now return data for GLUEs which are defined
  regardless of whether the program is known to CICS.
