Prerequisites

The server package of this interim fix requires one of the following versions of Content Collector installed on your operating system:

Overview

Microsoft has announced the deprecation of SharePoint Add-ins starting from April 2026. The following fix is implemented to mitigate the impact of this change.

Currently, ICC uses two SharePoint Add-ins:

IBM Content Collector App – Adds three SharePoint columns (Migrated, Migrated Information, URL) and a content type (Migrated Document Link).
IBM Content Collector Restore App – Used to restore documents after migration from the stub.

In this release, we are removing the complete dependency on SharePoint Add-ins.

For the IBM Content Collector App, ICC will check whether the required columns (Migrated, Migrated Information, URL) exist for all sites mentioned in the connectors when the Task Route runs. If the columns are not present, ICC will create them automatically before crawling the documents.

For the IBM Content Collector Restore App, we have introduced a new column called "Restore Document". If the post-processing of a Task Route is set to Replace with Link, this column will be updated with a restore link. When the user clicks the link, they will be prompted to confirm the restoration. After confirmation, the document will be restored from the repository.

Note: Please install all the previous interim fixes(ifix001 till ifix005) before installing ifix006.
