Summary
The Trends page in IBM Maximo Renewables enables users to visualize, analyze, and compare time‑series data for selected assets and parameters. For recurring analysis scenarios, users can save their configured trend views as Templates. Templates eliminate the need to repeatedly select the same tags and parameters, allowing users to quickly reload predefined analyses and gain insights efficiently.

Environment
- Application: IBM Maximo Renewables
- Module: Analytics → Trends
- Assets: Wind, Solar, or Energy Storage
- User Role: User with access to Trends and analytics features
Steps
Step 1: Access the Trends Page
- From the left navigation menu, navigate to Analytics → Trends.
- Select the required project from the project list.
- Choose the relevant assets for which trend analysis is required.
Step 2: Configure Trend Analysis
- In the Parameters section, select the required tags/parameters for data analysis or comparison.
- Select the time range for which the data should be visualized.
- Choose the appropriate data granularity based on the selected time range.
- Select the required aggregation function, if applicable.
- Click Load chart to plot the selected parameters.
Step 3: Save the Trend Configuration as a Template
- Once the chart is plotted and configured as required, click Save.
- The system saves the current configuration (selected assets, tags, time range, granularity, and aggregation settings) as a Template.
- This template can now be reused for recurring analysis.
Step 4: Use a Saved Template
- To reuse a saved configuration, go to the Assets section on the Trends page.
- Click Use template.
- Select the required saved template from the list.
- The Trends page automatically populates all previously saved tags, parameters, and settings, and reloads the chart.
