IBM Storage Defender Data Resiliency Service: Scanner certificate issue

Troubleshooting

Problem

To enable isolated scanner automation in IBM Storage Defender, you need to set up a dedicated scanner host system. Then, install and configure the IBM Storage Defender Sentinel anomaly scanning software on that host. Once installed, the software acts as the Sentinel scanner.

When the IBM Storage Defender Sentinel scanner is installed using the default configuration, the IBM Storage Defender Sentinel user interface uses a certificate that cannot be validated by the IBM Storage Defender Data Resiliency Service.

Symptom

After registering an IBM Storage Defender Sentinel scanner in the Data Resiliency Service, the connection status might be displayed as Certificate error.
