Error description

  • Users Affected:
    All IMU V5.1
    -------------------

    Problem Description
    -------------------
Client is getting application runtime SQL Error -117 on
DYNAMSQL INSERT into a single group host variable.

    Problem Summation
    -----------------
This issue was caused by the layout change to group fields
in EASYT007 macro (Change 264) to force the original FIELD
to be the REDEFINED field. In addition, Change 023 from IMU
V4.1 DYNAMSQL macro was not implemented in IMU V5.1,
donating additional false description of the subordinate
    fields for group host variable.

The change implemented a redefine of group Host variable to
solve fields grouping acceptable to the requestor. i.e, The
change caused the host variable to be recognized as a single
    group without the subordinate fields.
    -------------

    Problem Conclusion:
    ------------------
The DYNAMSQL macro was changed to recognize SQL INSERT INTO
a single host variable and to bypass the REDEFINE field for
    access to the subordinate fields.

The following modules are in the APAR:
    ------------------
    FSOFT01.V5R1M0.SFSYFJCC
       Existing CCL1 macro byte code
       DYNAMSQL - CHANGE LEVEL 025, DATE=02/14/2026, TIME=05:16

    ------------------
    Action:
    1. Install pre-requisites.
    2. Test failing Easytrieve Plus with SQL INSERT INTO
       statement(s).
    3. Test Easytrieve Plus programs with
       DECLARE CURSOR &CURSOR WITH HOLD.
