Question
Why does IBM Knowledge Catalog publish assets automatically profiles the data assets?
Cause
By default, the catalog settings are tuned to automatically profile the assets, this option can be disabled.
Answer
Steps to disable the automatic profiling when assets are published to the catalog:
- Login into the IBM Knowledge Catalog
- From the Navigation Menu -> Catalogs -> All Catalogs
- Open the Catalog and click on Settings tab.
- In the Details section Uncheck the "Automatically create profiles for data assets".
- Click on Disable.
