How To Identify Parameter Categorization in Trends

How To

Summary

The parameter categorization feature in Trend classifies data based on its origin—Raw, Scaled, Computed, and Constants. This classification improves data transparency, enhances interpretation, and simplifies workflows. By clearly identifying how each parameter is generated or transformed, users can better understand data lineage, manage information efficiently, and troubleshoot issues effectively.

Objective

The objective of parameter categorization is to:

  • Provide clear visibility into data origin and transformation.

  • Improve data management through filtering, grouping, and visualization.

  • Streamline analytical workflows by identifying parameter types quickly.

  • Reduce errors caused by data misinterpretation.

  • Enhance decision-making with better contextual understanding of data.

  • Improve collaboration by establishing a common data framework across teams.

  • Increase transparency and trust in system-generated results.

  • Enable faster troubleshooting by quickly identifying parameter sources.

  • Support automated and consistent documentation across the platform.
