Abstract
The objective is to provide detailed steps on how to configure IBM MQ Native HA Cross-Region Replication (CRR) on Linux
Content
The purpose of this technote is to provide a detailed, step-by-step guide for configuring an IBM MQ Native High Availability (HA) Cross-Region Replication (CRR) environment on Linux across two geographically separated data centers.
This document specifically aims to:-
Explain the architecture and design principles of IBM MQ Native HA with Cross-Region Replication.
Describe how to configure two Native HA groups (Primary and Secondary) that together form a single highly available queue manager.
Provide implementation steps for deploying a three-node Native HA group in each data center.
Demonstrate how to enable secure replication between sites using TLS encryption.
Show how to configure systemd-based monitoring to automatically detect and recover failed instances.
Explain how to validate quorum, synchronization status, and replication health using IBM MQ administrative commands.
Provide guidance on configuring and enabling a Recovery group for disaster recovery.
Document the procedure for performing a planned role switchover between Live and Recovery groups.
Help administrators understand expected system behavior during role transitions, including “Pending live” and “Pending recovery” states.
