Encountering issues using the ITX MongoDB adapter when replication enabled

Troubleshooting

Problem

Encountering exceptions in the IBM Sterling Transformation Extender (ITX) JNI log (or other inconsistent results) when reading from a MongoDB server replica set.

Symptom

The ITX MongoDB adapter works successfully but encounters issues when the MongoDB server replica set is enabled.

Cause

The transaction handling from the ITX MongoDB adapter is causing the issue.

Environment

Using the ITX MongoDB Adapter and replica set is enabled.

Diagnosing The Problem

One of the following exceptions can be seen in the ITX JNI log.

'afterClusterTime is not allowed for this command'

or
'Transaction with { txnNumber: n } has been aborted.'

Resolving The Problem

Use the -NOW parameter on the input card command line to effectively disable transaction handling from the ITX MongoDB adapter.
