A security enhancement has been applied to the custom administrator role. Custom administrators now have limited permissions and cannot modify roles or permissions for Tenant owners or Service administrators. Full-permission administrators can update the permissions of custom administrators and demote them to tenant users. Management administrators can manage tenant users and other similarly ranked administrators but cannot edit higher-level user settings.
When configuring a scan profile to scan Power App or Power Automate, you can now choose whether to enable the Auto-grant system administrator role to all your Power Platform environments option. By default, this option is disabled. Once enabled, during the scan job, users who consented to related apps will be granted the system administrator role for all your Power Platform environments. The related apps are listed below:
- Custom Azure app with delegated permissions
- Delegated app
After you enable this option, you need to manually add the UserManagement.Users.Apply permission to the related app by referring to details in the user guide.
In Auto discovery > Containers, when you configure settings to batch import Exchange mailbox, OneDrive, Microsoft 365 Group / Microsoft Team / Viva Engage community, or Project site objects into a selected container, you can now define the following settings:
- How would you like to handle the imported objects in auto discovery scan jobs?
- How would you like to handle the imported objects in batch import jobs
Organizations can now request backend enablement to support importing orphaned OneDrive sites via batch import. Once enabled, orphaned OneDrive URLs can be added to the Excel template used for object import. (An orphaned OneDrive refers to a OneDrive belonging to a user who no longer exists in the organization.)
IBM Storage Protect for Cloud Microsoft 365 now supports the Unlimited Users subscription model for Microsoft 365 services.
