Abstract
The following updates are available in release 3.1.5 of Planning Analytics as a Service.
Content
Use PA Assistant in plans and applications
Access the PA Assistant while working in plans and applications so you can get task‑specific guidance and perform common planning actions more easily.
To use this feature, open a plan or application and select the PA Assistant button. The Assistant can help you navigate tasks and perform actions such as submitting or completing a task, or approving or rejecting a submission.
Trigger a process when ownership is released
Automatically run a TI process when ownership of a member in the Data Accountability dimension is released. You can use this workflow type to handle actions that should occur whenever a user gives up ownership—whether they are releasing their own member or another user’s.
To use this feature, open a task’s edit page and add a workflow process. In the event list, choose Release ownership, then select the TI process you want to run. This option is available for all tasks and data accountability tasks, including those in existing plans, but you must update existing tasks to use it.
Split view for comparing TI process
Compare two areas of a TI process side by side while editing. Split view opens a second script panel so you can review and edit different parts of the process at the same time.
To use this feature, open a TI process and select Split view. Breakpoints can only be set on the left panel, and the split view closes automatically when debugging starts. The layout isn’t saved, but you can enable split view whenever you need it.
Review and accept or reject TI process code changes
Review script changes in a TI process before saving. Diff view highlights modifications and lets you accept or reject them directly in the UI.
To use this feature, open a TI process and select Diff view. Make your edits, then use Accept or Reject to apply or discard the changes before saving.
Dark mode for script editors
Switch your script editors to a dark theme for easier reading and reduced eye strain. You can now enable dark mode separately for the Rules Editor and the TurboIntegrator Editor.
To use this feature, open Settings from the left‑panel Preferences icon or from your profile menu. In the editor settings, select the dark theme option for the Rules Editor and/or the Process Editor, then save your changes.
Force stop TM1 database
Force-stop a TM1 12 database when it becomes unresponsive and won’t shut down through normal methods. You use this action to quickly stop a stuck database so you can restart it or take recovery steps.
To use this feature, open the database controls and choose Force stop when a standard stop request does not succeed. This option is always enabled, but only users with the Administrator role can access it.
Configure Planning Analytics Spreadsheet Services settings per environment
Customize Planning Analytics Spreadsheet Services websheet settings separately for each environment. Edit the exposed configuration fields for tm1web_config.xml, evalservice_config.xml, and features.json directly in the UI, and your changes apply only to the selected environment.
To use this feature, open the Planning Analytics Spreadsheet Services configuration panel, review the auto‑populated settings, and update the options you need. Your configurations are saved per environment and automatically applied when a spreadsheet services session starts.
