The Maximo Mobile app may experience failures during initial data download with the 'Function list' download indicating 'waiting for network' and 'server not reachable'.
Logs show continuous timeouts on a specific endpoint, with errors:
'The request timed out.' (NSURLErrorDomain Code=-1001) on Mobile side and 'upstream timed out (110: Connection timed out)' in the CoreAPI pod logs.
The issue is caused by a misconfiguration where LDAP properties are not correctly set to 0 when SAML authentication is in use.
Analyze Mobile and API logs to identify timeout errors and request failures.
Try to make the same call that is failing on Mobile directly on your browser, if it fails
Check System Properties mxe.AllowLDAPUsers and mxe.useSAML for potential misconfigurations.
After checking the System Properties, if your have SAML authentication, you must set the mxe.AllowLDAPUsers property to 0.
Retest the API call and login on the device after making configuration changes.
