Troubleshooting
Problem
After upgrading from Cognos Analytics 11.2.x to Cognos Analytics 12.x, the product initially works as-expected.
Backups of items in the Webcontent folder (specifically the 'skins' and 'bi' folders) from 11.2.x are then copied into the Webcontent for 12.x.
This results in the product becoming unusable, with blank panes in the Manage menu, and the Personal menu.
Symptom
- Blank "Manage" pane
- Blank "Personal" menu
- 404 errors evident in a HAR trace, referencing multiple .js files, for example:
