DOORS 9.7.2.11 – DOORS Server (64 bit) requires manual data folder copy

Troubleshooting

Problem

In DOORS fixpack release 9.7.2.11, we have upgraded the DOORS server from 32 bit to 64 bit. The default location for 64-bit server data folder is at “C:\Program Files\ibm\Rational\DOORS\9.7\Server\data”. This location is different than the default data folder location of 32-bit DOORS server, which is stored at “C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\Rational\DOORS\9.7\data”

Resolving The Problem

This is known issue in 9.7.2.11 and customer has to manually copy the data folder from default 32-bit server data folder location “C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\Rational\DOORS\9.7\data” or any custom data folder location to new default 64-bit server data folder location “C:\Program Files\ibm\Rational\DOORS\9.7\Server\data” or any custom data folder location.
