Error description

• Starting with IBM Storage Protect Server version 8.1.7, the
  retention sets feature is available.
  
  Documentation for the QUERY RETSET command about the Total
  File Sizes (MB) field is incomplete.
  
  The Total File Sizes (MB) field value is different depending on
  the storage pool type:
  
  For Storage pools not using deduplication( DISK, FILEPOOL,..)
  the field displays the actual total size of files in the
  retention set.
  
  For Storage pools using deduplication (DIRECTORY CONTAINER,
  CLOUD,...), the field always displays 0.
  
  
  IBM Storage Protect Versions Affected: IBM Storage Protect
  Server 8.1.7 and later, on all supported platforms.

Problem conclusion

• The QUERY RETSET (Query a retention set) topic in IBM
  Documentation has been updated to clarify the "Total File Sizes"
  field description by adding the following sentence:
  
  "For storage pools that do not use deduplication, such as Disk
  and FILEPOOL, the field shows the actual total size of the files
  in the retention set. For storage pools that use deduplication,
  such as Directory container and Cloud, the field always displays
  0."
  
  This update will be available in the IBM Storage Protect server
