This document outlines the process of removing the username in the Custom Alerts feature.
Objective
Enabling a user in the Custom Alerts functionality ensures they receive notifications whenever their assigned asset experiences downtime or a breakdown event.
Environment
Application: IBM Maximo Renewables
Modules: Custom Alerts
Scope: Monitoring
Use Case: If any Asset experienced a breakdown time/Communication Failure, user will get notification via Mail and SMS
User Roles: Site Engineer, Asset Manager, Operations Manager and Stake Holders.
Steps
Select the Project Name on Landing page.

Navigate to Custom Alerts in Alarm & Events using search bar.

Custom Alert Page will show the List of Alerts were already created.

Use the Edit button to remove the username in existing alarms.

Click on “Recipient”, recipient list shows the recipient already added in custom alerts.

To remove a specific recipient from the existing user list, click the bin icon next to the recipient you want to delete. After clicking the icon, a confirmation prompt will appear asking ‘Do you want to delete?’. Select ‘Yes’ to remove the recipient.


After Clicking Yes, the recipient list will remove the existing username. Once the user is removed, Recipient list will show details of other users, verify whether that user was removed and then click submit to save the changes.
