Prerequisites
Before you begin:
- Verify that your system meets the relevant system requirements listed on WebSphere Application Server detailed system requirements.
- For installing this Liberty fix pack that uses Installation Manager, download and install Installation Manager 1.9 or later from the IBM Installation Manager
- Review the support policy in Single Stream Continuous Delivery (SSCD) Software Support Lifecycle Policy: WebSphere Liberty.
IMPORTANT: The downloadable Liberty fix packs for Installation Manager in this document, as opposed to installation from online repositories, require one of the following:
- The fix pack must be installed on top of an existing Liberty installation.
OR - Original Liberty GA media or a refresh pack from Passport Advantage Online available on your IBM Installation Manager repository search path.

This document primarily contains downloadable fix packs for offline use. For a list of web-based service repositories, see Online product repositories for Liberty offerings, and find the online repository status in Status of IBM Installation Manager product and service repositories.
The amount of disk space required varies with the number of features or products installed. If you are installing the product that uses Installation Manager, the installation summary panel indicates the approximate amount of disk space required based on the features and products you have selected. For a fix pack, you need less than 500MB of free disk space.

For a Liberty server configured with openidConnnectClient with a trustStoreRef that points to truststore, it is no longer possible to perform a JWT access token inbound propagation if the truststore is not referenced by an SSL configuration. The truststore pointed by the trustStoreRef must be referenced by an SSL configuration in order for the configuration to be valid. - If a WebSphere application running behind a HTTP proxy server (such as IBM HTTP Server with the WebSphere WebServer Plug-in) further configuration may be required to trust data from the proxy server.
