  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: An ABEND 04E-00F31100 was returned      *
  *                      due to a hash miss.                     *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply corrective PTF when available          *
  ****************************************************************
  When Db2 receives a request to associate a disassociated
  thread, Db2 will attempt a hash lookup to verify that the
  associating thread is recognized by Db2. However, in this case,
  there was a hash miss due to a serialization error with
  updates and lookups to the hash. As a result of the hash miss,
  Db2 returned a 00F31100 resulting in a hung Db2 agent which
  could be holding resources that are needed by other threads.
  

Problem conclusion

• Db2 13 for z/OS has been changed to avoid a hash miss.
