Error description

  • When OpenTelemetry is enabled for an Integration Server, trace
    spans are generated for message flows. This enhancement
    introduces the ability to log OpenTelemetry trace metadata,
    including TRACEPARENT, TRACEID, SPANID, and TRACESTATE, as tags
    in the Activity Log.
    By capturing this metadata, the feature makes it easier to link
    events from OpenTelemetry-based observability platforms with
    those in the App Connect logging system, improving diagnostics
    and troubleshooting capabilities.

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    This Apar introduces the ability to log OpenTelemetry trace
    metadata, including TRACEPARENT, TRACEID, SPANID, and
    TRACESTATE, as tags in the Activity Log, when OpenTelemetry is
    enabled on the IntegrationServer.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The ActivityLog will output OpenTelemetry information under

    OTEL_TRACEID
    OTEL_SPANID
    OTEL_TRACESTATE
