Summary

Due to use of VMware vCenter, IBM Cloud Pak System is affected by header injection and denial-of-service vulnerabilities [CVE-2025-41250,CVE-2025-41241]. IBM Cloud Pak System has addressed these vulnerabilities. IBM Cloud Pak System includes the patched vCenter Server 8.0 U3g release as part of IBM Cloud Pak System version 2.3.6.1.

DESCRIPTION:   VMware vCenter contains an SMTP header injection vulnerability. A malicious actor with non-administrative privileges on vCenter who has permission to create scheduled tasks may be able to manipulate the notification emails sent for scheduled tasks.

Remediation/Fixes

IBM strongly recommends addressing the vulnerability now by upgrading to IBM Cloud Pak System 2.3.6.1.

This Security Bulletin applies to IBM Cloud Pak System. Clients using IBM Cloud Pak System Software or IBM Cloud Pak System Software Suite will need to plan an upgrade of the vCenter Server in their environment to the 8.0 U3g release.

Customers can contact IBM support to get their appliance upgraded to IBM Cloud Pak System 2.3.6.1.
