PH69051: OBJECT COMPARE TOOL FAILS TO UTILIZE SYSTEM DEFAULT(ZPARM) WHEN PROCESSING CHANGES TO PADDED INDEX

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When PADDED is removed from index on target, Object Compare Tool
  fails to take system default(zParm) into consideration. This
  results in a missing change on index.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Object Compare does not take a ZPARM    *
  *                      into consideration when determining     *
  *                      if there is a change to the PADDED      *
  *                      attribute for an index.                 *
  ****************************************************************
  If the target index is padded, and the source index DDL does not
  contain any value for PADDED, Object Compare fails to detect a
  change to the index when the PADIX ZPARM is different from the
  target index.
  

Problem conclusion

• The problem has been resolved.
