Error description

• When LOB_SEND_OPTION=I and a LOB column exceeds the transaction
  message size, Q Capture switches to separate LOB messaging
  potentially causing inconsistent target data.

Problem summary

  * USERS AFFECTED: 1- All users replicate LOB column.           *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: 1- When LOB_SEND_OPTION is set to I     *
  *                      and the LOB column value is too large   *
  *                      to fit in the transaction message, Q    *
  *                      Capture issues message ASN7333I and     *
  *                      automatically switches to sending the   *
  *                      LOB in a separate message. However,     *
  *                      the LOB column information in the       *
  *                      transaction message may be incorrect,   *
  *                      which can result in inconsistent LOB    *
  *                      data in the target table. Also, Q       *
  *                      Capture incorrectly fetches the LOB     *
  *                      value from the source table even if     *
  *                      the LOB value is available in the log   *
  *                      record when processing row log record.  *
  ****************************************************************
  1- When LOB_SEND_OPTION is set to I (Inline), capture issues
  ASN7333I message and automatically switches to sending the LOB
  in a separate message if the lob doesn't fit to
  max_message_size. Apply will read the separate LOB message and
  replicate the LOB value to the target table. If LOB is INLINE,
  Q Capture will get the data from the log record when
  replicating LOB values.
  

Problem conclusion

• 1- If  LOB_SEND_OPTION is I and the LOB column exceeds the
  MAX_MESSAGE_SIZE in the IBMQREP_SENDQUEUES table, Q Capture
  will switch to separate mode to send the LOB columns as
  separate messages at the end of the transaction. Also, Q
  Capture will use the LOB data from the log record when its
  value is INLINE for both lob_send_option=I and S for both Event
  Publisher XML and compact messages used for replication.
