Error description
Recovery code following abend in CSQJW107 causes LRB7 chain loop.
Local fix
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM for z/OS Version 9 * * Release 3 Modification 0 and * * Release 4 Modification 0 * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Following an abend in CSQJW107, * * recovery code causes a LRB7 chain loop, * * resulting in a CPU Spinloop. * **************************************************************** The code that requeues the LRB7 blocks does not clear blocks from its chain. This means that any blocks on the LRB7 chain are now on two chains. This results in a loop in the chain, and CSQJW107 spinning while looping through the blocks.
Problem conclusion
The recovery code has been updated to clear its own LRB7 chain after requeuing the blocks
