• When a DIVERT RETRY with time is entered, an abend S0C9 may
  occur.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: An ABEND S0C9 or a S0C7, depending on   *
  *                      the high-order value of the work reg-   *
  *                      ister will occur in the owning          *
  *                      zDMF server if running z/OS 3.2 and     *
  *                      above when a DIVERT RETRY is requested. *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply PTF when available.                    *
  ****************************************************************
  The high-order word of the 64-bit register used for a Convert
  to Binary (CVB) instruction was not cleared before performing
  the CVB.  z/OS 3.2 is using the high-order word before this
  code gets control.
  

Problem conclusion

• Before loading the time fields to be converted to binary,
  the entire 64-bit work register is cleared.
