Question

How many out‑of‑the‑box (OOB) Agent Criteria are available for the SBAMetricsServer in an IBM Sterling OMS v10 On‑Premise Containerized Deployment, and what are their respective functionalities?

Cause

In on‑premise containerized IBM Sterling OMS environments, SBAMetricsServer processing and purge operations are often manually managed. Customers require clarity on the active Agent Criteria, how they function, and what configuration options are available when deploying OMS through the IBM Sterling OMS Operator.

Answer

The SBAMetricsServer provides two out‑of‑the‑box transactions, consisting of three Agent Criteria for metrics processing and two Agent Criteria for purge operations. These configurations apply directly to on‑premise containerized deployments using the OMS Operator.

 

1. SBA Metrics Processing

  • SBAMetricsOU – Performs Order Update metrics processing.
  • SBAMetricsSU – Performs Shipment Update metrics processing.
  • SBANodeCapacity – Performs Node Capacity metrics processing.

 

2. SBA Metrics Purge

  • SBA_METRICS_PRG_UPD (Mode: RM) – Cleans up SBA_ORDER_UPD and SBA_SHIPMENT_UPD temporary update tables.
  • SBA_METRICS_PRG_PRM (Mode: RP) – Cleans up all remaining SBA transaction tables.

 

Deprecated Criteria

Application Manager may display an outdated criteria named SBAMetricsRM. This criterion has been fully replaced by SBA_METRICS_PRG_UPD and is considered deprecated. It is expected to be removed from the Application Manager in future updates.

 

Configurable Purge Intervals

The two active purge criteria support configurable intervals:

  • yfs.sba.agent.metrics.RM.scheduletriggerinterval = 10
  • yfs.sba.agent.metrics.RP.scheduletriggerinterval = 1440
