Question

Can you call an SQL function or a stored procedure from Advanced SQL in a data warehouse report in IBM Jazz Reporting Service (JRS)?

Cause

You have create an SQL function or a stored procedure in your data warehouse database. This function or procedure executes correctly when called from any database client. However, when used in Advanced SQL, the procedure appears to return no results. Reports that call the function from Advanced SQL fail to validate and report error CRRGW5628E, even if validation is turned off.

Answer

Using stored procedures and SQL functions in Advanced SQL is not supported.
