PH68658: ERROR MESSAGE 'WINDOW DURATION REACHED' FOR MULTI-VOLUME LOGS WHEN USING THE ONLINE INTERFACE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Error message 'Window Duration Reached' received for multi-
  volume logs when using the online interface and also when not
  in Time Slicing mode.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: IMS PI Online Interface message         *
  *                      Window Duration Reached, when           *
  *                      Time Slicing not in effect.             *

  When an IMS Log is contained on multiple DASD volumes,
  the IMS PI Online interface stops reading at the end of
  the first volume, then issues message Window Duration
  Reached.
  

Problem conclusion

• IMS PI Online is now corrected to read all volumes of the
  IMS Log.
