ZWSTECHNOTE : Additional ACTION HOLD items for PH68409 ( SPE10203 or 10.2 SPE3 ) for z Workload Scheduler 10.2

Question & Answer

Question

Are there any additional ACTION HOLD items related to APAR PH68409 ( SPE10203 also known as SPE 10203 and 10.2 SPE03 )?   (Updated January 23, 2026)

Answer

The PTFs for PH68409 (SPE10203) are available:  s

UO06228 tracker

UO06229 controller
UO06230 Korean
UO06231 English

UO06232 German
UO06233 Kanji

UO06234 Spanish

In addition to the ACTION HOLDS listed in the above PTFs, it is recommended that the PTFs for APAR

PH69517 are also applied:

APAR PH69517 Minor enhancements after 10.2 SPE03

 The enhancements are:

  • Optimization of memory allocation for cross dependencies
Storage allocation to manage network operations has been
    enhanced to minimize storage usage.
  • Detection of the remote destination version from panel
    EQQAMRZP
Matching criteria for a z/OS shadow job were incorrectly
allowed to be defined when the remote engine was earlier than

V10.2 SPE03. With this APAR, the DEPT command now notifies the
user if the remote engine is earlier than V10.2 SPE03.
In this case, the only matching criterion is the closest
    preceding one.

  • New ISPF messages EQQA716E and EQQA717W
Messages are shown either when the DEPT command is
unavailable or when the remote engine version is unknown,
    respectively.

    The PTFs for PH69517 are:

    UO06515 tracker
    UO06516 controller
    UO06517 Korean
    UO06518 English

    UO06519 German
    UO06520 Kanji
    UO06521 Spanish
