Problem


IBM Engineering Test Management (ETM) clicking a link labelled Edit in rich text section in switches the editor to edit mode.

Symptom

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Navigate to Test Case section in an ETM project area
  2. Open Test Case Design section
  3. Select Edit
  4. Insert a link using the Link button in the editor
  5. Enter Edit as Display Text
  6. Provide the URL in Protocol section
  7. Click OK

  8. Return to the Test Case Design and select on Edit link.

    Expected result: Clicking the Edit link opens the link URL.

    Actual result: Clicking Edit switches the editor to edit mode.

Cause

This is a limitation of the CKEditor.

Resolving The Problem

 
In the ETM v7.2 the CKEditor editor has been updated to manage links more effectively, irrespective of the label assigned to them.
 
WORKAROUND
For users on version ETM v 7.0.3 or 7.1 do not label link as Edit to avoid the issue.
