PH68520: ABEND0C7 WHEN RUNNING DFH$MOLS DUE TO MISSING APPLID AND NETWORKID FIELDS IN THE ORIGIN DATA

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Cics Transaction Gateway sends origin data to CICS TS and if
  this doesn't include APPLID and NETWKID fields (i.e. they
  have a length of zero) then it results in an abend0C7 when
  running DFH$MOLS.

  It is possible to see an abend 0C7 when running DFH$MOLS, this
  happens when the monitoring SMF record being processed is
  using Origin Data.
  The problem happens when DFHMNOD is doing a copy of monitoring
  data which can contain empty fields within them.
  In this case the copy code is copying too much data and so
  corrupting the monitoring fields.
  This leads to DFH$MOLS taking an abend 0C7 when attempting to
  process these corrupted fields.
  

Problem conclusion

• DFHMNOD has been changed to avoid doing a copy of Origin Data
  of empty fields.
