Status 412 Precondition Failed When QRadar Azure Event Hub Log Source Reads Blob Data – No Events Received

Troubleshooting


Problem

When you use Microsoft® Azure® Event Hub to stream events (such as Azure AD, Azure Operational Logs, and Azure Security Logs) into QRadar, you might find that logs stop arriving in QRadar even though the events are still visible in the Azure Event Hub. Attempts such as disabling and re-enabling the log source or restarting ECS services might not resolve the issue.

Symptom

  • No logs are received in QRadar from Azure Event Hub log sources.
  • Events are still present in the Azure Event Hub.
  • Restarting services (ecs-ec and ecs-ec-ingress) shows the following error messages in QRadar logs:
