Troubleshooting
Problem
The requirement to cease using HTTP for sending licensing requests necessitates a transition to HTTPS. This change impacts versions of SPSS Statistics prior to version 29.0.2.0, all versions of SPSS Amos and all versions of SPSS Modeler.
Symptom
The License Wizard fails with Authorization failed error.
Cause
The shift from HTTP to HTTPS aims to enhance security during licensing requests.
Environment
SPSS Statistics versions prior to 29.0.2.0 which do not natively support HTTPS, are affected.
SPSS Amos all versions are affected.
SPSS Modeler all versions are affected.

For all other versions there is no interim fix. The workaround for those versions:
Let the authorization fail and follow steps in the error to license via email
Log into the License Key Center activate the license manually using the lock code.
