Abstract

On 28 August 2025, IBM released IBM® Maximo® Application Suite Manage Component patch 8.7.23. As with all patches, it is cumulative. In addition to the new fixes listed here, all fixes from earlier patches for this version are included.

DT435386 Scheduler Loading the Assignment View tab causes a error when break data exceeds ~70K rows, due to performance limits. This occurs after applying multiple breaks across a long date range.

Follow these steps.
1. Navigate to System Configuration -> Platform Configuration -> Automation Scripts
2. From More Actions, select Create Script for Integration.
3.  In the Create Script for Integration dialog, under Integration Details;
4. Select Object Structure (the default).
5. For Object Structure, select MXGLTXN.
6. Select Outbound Definition

There are two options to execute the manual steps required for this APAR. Both start with steps 1 to 4.
If you wish to limit this behavior to Self-Service only, go to step 5 in the Option 2 section.
1. Open Application Designer.
2. Click Export System XML.
3. Click LIBRARY. Save the file as library.xml.
4. Open the library.xml file in a text editor.

5.  Search for the following dialog. At the end, add parentsave="true"

5. Search for the following dialog.

6. Copy the and paste the dialog beneath it.
7. Change the id parameter in the new dialog to a unique value.
8. Add parentsave="true" to the end of the new dialog.
9. Save library.xml.
10. Go back to Application Designer.
11. Click Export System XML.
12. Click MENUS. Save the file as menus.xml
14. Open the menus.xml file in a text editor.
15. Search for <menu id="DRATTACHMENTS">
16. Copy and paste the menu item below the first one.
17. Update the value of event for the menuitem with id="raddnewfile" to the id name of the dialog created in steps 6-8.
18. Change all id parameters in the new dialog to unique values.
19. In library.xml, update the menutype attribute on the attachment tag to match the value of the menu created in the previous steps. For example

20. Save library.xml.
21. In Application Designer, import the modified library.xml and menus.xml files.
22. Save changes.

To add new message, follow these steps:
1. Log into Manage as an administrative user.
2. Go to Database Configuration.
3. In the More Actions section, click Messages.
4. Click the New Row icon (plus sign inside a circle)
5. For the new row, enter these details:
  • Message Group: configdb
  • Message Key: verifyAssetAttributeIdOnCISpec
  • Display Method: TEXT
  • Message ID Prefix: BMXAA
  • Message ID Suffix: I
  •  Display ID?: Checked
  • Value: Verifying whether CISPEC records have a configured assetattributeid.
  • Button Yes or no?: unchecked
  • Button Ok : Checked
6.  Add a second message:
  • Message Group: configdb
  • Message Key: assetattributeidIsNotAssociated
  •  Display Method: MSGBOX
  • Message ID Prefix: BMXAA
  • Message ID Suffix: E
  • Display ID?: Checked
  • Value: One or more CISPEC records don't have assetattributeid configured. Manually update the records to correctly map each assetattributeid to the corresponding asset attribute in the Asset Attribute table.
  • Button Yes or no?: unchecked
  • Button Ok: checked
  • Button Cancel: checked
When finished, click OK.
