How to uninstall GSKit 8.0.0x on Windows after updating IBM ClearCase to versions 9.1.0.9, 10.0.1.4, 11.0.0.4?
Answer
The GSKit is updated to version 9.0.0.1 in ClearCase 9.1.0.9, 10.0.1.4, and 11.0.0.4. As a result, GSKit 8.0.0.x is no longer required by ClearCase. GSKit 8.0.0.x is not automatically uninstalled during the update, as it can still be used by another product. If GSKit 8.0.0.x is not required by another product and you want to uninstall it, then follow the instructions listed in this technote.
To uninstall GSKit 8.0.0.x, you will need to run the original GSKit 8.0.0.x installer that was originally installed with ClearCase.
Note: Before uninstalling GSKit 8.0.0.x, ensure that there are no other products in the system that are still using it. ClearQuest is still using GSKit 8.0.0.x.
