Troubleshooting
Problem
During discovery, the request for ifName returns no data from the Interface, CDP, and CiscoSwitchSnmp agents etc., but the same MIB variable request succeeds when using the net-snmp tool. How can this issue be resolved?
Symptom
If you enabled snmp log requests, the snmp helper log (ncp_dh_snmp process, $NCHOME/log/precision/SnmpHelperDebug.DOMAINNAME.trace) would contain something like below:
